A home of Jacksonville's aviation enthusiasts since the 1960's, Herlong Recreational Airport (HEG) is Northeast Florida's primary location for light sport aircraft, skydiving, gliders and other experimental aircraft. Flying into Herlong, one is likely to spot aircraft ranging from the Goodyear Blimp to a citation jet.
Located southwest of downtown Jacksonville, Herlong is a perfect facility for die-hard aviation nuts and novices alike.

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority owns and operates the airport and fixed base operations at Herlong (HEG) Airport. First Coast Flight Center supports 100LL and Jet-A aircraft, with line service as well as a self serve 100LL tank for after hours fueling. Volume discounts are offered for Jet-A.
