HERLONG RECREATIONAL AIRPORT

FBO BUILDING REHABILITATION

                                      

Sealed bids will be received at Jacksonville International Airport, in the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Administration Building, 14201 Pecan Park Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218 until 3:00 PM local time, November 1, 2012, at which time they shall be opened in the JAA 2nd Floor Conference Room, 14201 Pecan Park Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218, for:

 

Herlong Recreational Airport – FBO BUILDING REHABILITATION

 

This project includes the limited interior rehabilitation of the existing administrative space at Herlong Recreational Airport. Work includes the replacement of the building mechanical system, improvements to the toilet rooms and other minor interior fit and finish improvements.

 

There will be a Pre-Bid Conference held in the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Administrative Office, Herlong Recreational Airport, 9300 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida, 32221, at 2:00 PM local time, October 16, 2012.

 

Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bids will be required to accompany bids.  Contract Bonding shall also be required.  The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding.  Participation in the Small Business Enterprises Program (SBE) is required.  The goal for this contract is fifteen percent (15%) to be performed by certified SBE firms.

 

This project will be bid as a single contract.  Bid prices may be held for up to 90 days. All bids must be submitted in accordance with Project Manual for Contract No. C-780, which may be examined in the Herlong Recreational Airport Facility Manager’s Office, or obtained from:

It is the sole responsibility of each prospective bidder to assure that the Office of the Manager, Engineering & Construction, is kept informed of his or her current mailing address, telephone number and fax number.

 

Complete sets of drawings and specifications may be purchased from The LPA Group Incorporated for $125.00 per set, plus the cost of mailing or overnight shipping, after 3:00 p.m., October 2, 2012. Partial sets of drawings and specifications will not be issued.  The purchase price for the contract documents is not refundable.
