Sealed bids will be received by the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Administration Building, 14201 Pecan Park Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218 until 2:00 PM local time, May 15, 2012, at which time they shall be opened in the JAA 2^nd Floor Conference Room, 14201 Pecan Park Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218, for:

 

CECIL AIRPORT

AIRFIELD DRAINAGE REHABILITATION PHASE II

                                                                                                       

This project includes the rehabilitation of several corrugated metal pipes (CMP) using cured in place pipe (CIPP) liners (SCHEDULE A) or HDPE slip liners (SCHEDULE B) and the repair of concrete drainage inlet structures.  The Base Bid includes the rehabilitation of one 66” diameter and one 60” diameter CMP’s, approximately 450 feet long, and the repair of two concrete inlet structures.  The Additive Bids include the rehabilitation of one 54” diameter CMP, approximately 355 feet long, and one 60” diameter CMP, approximately 275 feet long, the repair to 6 additional concrete inlet structures, repair of an existing sink hole adjacent to one of the inlet structures, and the replacement of concrete slab units.

 

There will be a Pre-Bid Conference held at Cecil Airport, 13365 Aeronautical Circle, Jacksonville, Florida  32221, on May 1, 2012 at 10:00 AM.

 

Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required to accompany bids.  Contract Bonding shall also be required.  The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding.   The Authority has determined that NO DBE participation goal will be prescribed for this project.  As a good corporate citizen JAA fully supports the usage of SBE/DBE on JAA projects.  We encourage our business partners to maximize the utilization of  SBE/DBEs at every opportunity.

 

This project will be bid as a single contract.  Bid prices may be held for up to 120 days. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the Project Manual for Contract No. C-773 which may be examined in the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Administration Building Office, or obtained from:

It is the sole responsibility of each prospective bidder to assure that the Office of the Manager, Engineering & Construction, is kept informed of his or her current mailing address, telephone number and fax number.

 

Complete sets of drawings and specifications on CD may be acquired from JACOBS at the above address or may be shipped to the Contractors at cost for mailing or overnight shipping, after 3:00 p.m., April 16, 2012.  Partial sets of drawings and specifications will not be issued.  The shipping cost for the contract documents is not refundable.
