A new dining option will soon be available for travelers at Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) with the opening of VINO VOLO, a food and wine bar. The Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) board of directors approved a lease with the restaurant which is expected to open in early 2014. VINO VOLO will be located beyond the TSA passenger screening area in Concourse C.
“We’re excited that our travelers will soon be able to enjoy a different kind of dining experience at JAX airport,” said JAA Director of External Affairs Michael Stewart. “Customers will be able to choose from unique wine and food offerings, plus locally sourced craft-brewed beers in a tastefully designed and sophisticated atmosphere.”
VINO VOLO will offer beer and wine tastings and because the restaurant will be located post security, customers can sample and buy product to carry onto their flights.
VINO VOLO can be found in more than 30 locations across the U.S. and Canada. The JAX airport location will be the restaurant’s first opening in Florida.
