Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting

JacksonvilleFire and Rescue Department (JFRD) Fire Station 56 is located on Cecil Airportjust southwest of the tower.  This station supports Aircraft Rescue andFirefighting (ARFF) as well as civilian structure response.  The fire stationhas a minimum of two ARFF firefighters 24 hours a day. More ARFF personnel maybe on duty according to flight operations of participating tenants.  Thereare three structural firefighters stationed on the field 24 hours a day torespond to emergencies off the airport.
